‘Word on the Street’ is an ephemeral art project combining the written word and visual installations of a community’s thoughts, ideas, dreams and hopes.

Passers by are invited to share their thoughts, ideas and words. These snippets and strands of words will be collected and temporarily displayed in public spaces, on windows, walls and other areas.

The ‘Word on the Street’ will be explored, expressed and exhibited within the City of Adelaide.

‘Word on the Street’ is a Community Arts Network SA (CAN SA) PlaceMaking project. PlaceMaking works on the belief that meaningful interactions can turn spaces we find ourselves in, into places we want to engage with.
